Question: im 17 years old and thinking about getting an accord at a dealership
i was thinking round 03-06 honda accords
wat do you guys think about the accords?
did you guys have any problem with them??

Answer: I'm an old school mechanic. I am a Cadillac guy all the way. But whenever someone asks me to recommend a car, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Nissan Maxima are my top 3. They have problems, but are well known for their durability and ease of maintenance. Also, parts are plentiful and mostly inexpensive, so if something big does go wrong, it's usually not too much to fix.

Answer: Great cars! DH drove a '90 Accord until this summer when we sold it (had over 250k miles). He's now driving my '96 Accord and I've switched to an '03 CR-V. Definitely worth the money. Very reliable cars. Check around at "other" dealerships (ie, not Honda) for a better deal. We saved $5k buying our CR-V at the Chrysler dealership in July and I saved close to the same in 2000 when I bought the '96 Accord at the Ford dealership.

Question: Should i buy the new 08 Honda Accord Sedan or the 08 Honda Accord Coupe?

I'm going buy a new Honda Accord EX-L for 23,000 dollars from a dealer, were getting a 3500 dollar discount. I cant decide whether to buy a Honda Accord sedan or coupe. I personally prefer getting the 2 door because it looks really nice but the four door is more convienent. I am 17 years old. I only need the passenger seats when i take my friends sometimes or if i have to pick up family members. So i dont think 2 door would be much of a problem. I would like ur opinion on this if you were deciding between a honda accord sedan and coupe. thanks.

Answer: Well if you were goign for cheaper insurance ussly a four door, if u want a nice sleek look to your car a 2 door, plus a foor dorr it is easier to get ppl in and out

Question: 2007 Honda Accord or 2007 Honda Civic?
Hi :) I'm in the market for a new car, though I'm not quite sure which one to get yet! Quite a few options are available out there! For now, I'm eyeing the 2007 Accord and Civic.

-What are the differences between a Honda Accord & Honda Civic? Are they similar as far as size, power, reliability, gas mileage & cost? Which do you think is better a 2-door or 4-door?

-Also, I heard that the Accord is going to be redesigned for 2008. Is that true? If I do decide on the Accord, should I wait for that model?

-Is the Civic going to be redesigned too?

-So, with everything considered...Accord or Civic?

Thanks so much!!

Answer: I've got an 06 Civic Sedan and I love it. It's a great car, rides nicely, handles well, looks good and gets good (34-36 mpg) mileage.

The 06 Civic was the 1st year of the redesign, so this body style will be around a few years. The Accord has been out a while, so a 2008 redesign for it may be true. The Accord is a bigger, nicer and more expensive car. If you need that and can afford it, that's what I'd get. But if you are looking for something more affordable and don't neccesarily need bigger car, the Civic could be for you. Go to the Honda dealer and check them out for yourself.

Question: Used Honda Accord or Toyota Camry?
I am in the market to purchase a used Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry. My current vehicle is a 94 Toyota Landcruiser but I am looking to downgrade as my commute to work and current gas mileage just do not agree. I have leased Honda Accords before 96 Accord EX, and 98 Accord EX Coupe. I never had a problem with my Accords (except for the reacall on the 98) but that was years ago.

I would like to know from peoples experience and personal knowledge what if any problems or reacalls they are aware of in Accords and Camrys between the years 1994-2004. Particularly, if there are any model years that I should stay away from.

Answer: You're going to get a car that will outlast most 3rd world nations either way, but Hondas are known for better interior materials, fit and finish. See: http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/10245/mid-size-four-door-sedans.html
Honda: 1st Place... Toyota: Dead Last
Or you could really go crazy and buy American, but how American would that be?

Question: Honda Accord 2008 or Scion TC 2008?
I currently have a '91 Honda Accord, the greatest car ever. I totally trust and depend on Honda. Although my accord is completely reliable, it is getting really old and I know I will need a new(er) car. Should I wait it out until the 2008 Accord's price is lowered (maybe with the chance of getting a used one) or should I just get a Scion TC? Do you think the price of the new accord will go down a good amount?

Answer: Wait and get the newer Honda Accord because it looks great.

End of month is a great time to BUY your new car, but it is NOT the best time to make your first dealership visit. Salesmen do try harder to make sales at the end of the month, which is about the last five days of the calendar month.

In addition to the end of the month, there are better and worse times of the year to buy. Best time of the year to buy is the end of December, in most dealerships. Dealerships try to make specific quotas for end of month AND end of calendar year, and it is not a popular time to buy, so sales can slump seriously and they will try harder to make a sale, which means a better bargain. If you shy away from buying in the winter because of bad weather, think again: bad weather is when you WANT to be in the car, testing it’s foul weather capabilities.

Other good times of year to buy are end of August and end of September because the old models are taking up space on the dealership property, and they want to make room for the new models to come in. If your heart is not set on a brand new model, this is an excellent time to buy a perfectly good new car that happens to have been manufactured a few months earlier.

There is a very important BUT to this end of month advice: Do NOT make your very first visit to the dealership at the end of the month. Go to the dealership at the beginning or middle of the month, test drive the cars, get some info, then go home and give yourself two to three weeks to get the best financing. THEN go back at month's end armed with full information and a buying plan. Give yourself a day or two extra in case the first dealership doesn't work out and you need to go to another one. This is a big purchase, don't try to do it all in an afternoon!

Question: 1999 Honda Accord / 2003 Honda Accord?
Right now I have a 99 Honda Accord Coupe, it has the leather power seats, power everything, sunroof, etc, 6 Cyl... with 140,000 miles... I really like the newer body styles on the accord, and I found a 2003 Honda Accord EX Coupe for $8,885. It has power everything, heated leather seats... I haven't gone to look at it yet but from what I've seen in the pictures it looks like really good condition. Would this be a good deal, or should I wait around?

Answer: I wouldn't touch that Accord with a 20 foot pole. They are nice, my mom has one, but that is WAY too many miles. Even with an Accord almost 200K miles is pushing it. If stuff hasn't started to break yet then the will soon.

Question: Honda Accord or BMW 325is?
Hi I'm 17 yrs old and I'm going to buy a use car. My options are a Honda Accord EX and a BMW 325is. The Honda is a 1996 and it has 100,186 Miles. The car is a sedan and white color. The BMW is a 1995 with 148,000 miles. The car is a coupe and red color. The Honda is priced at $3200 and the BMW at $3800. Which one should I get? I like sporty looking cars but do you think it would be very expensive to keep the BMW? Thank YOu.

Answer: Getting an insurance quote on each car may help w/ your decision. As with any purchase it is best to look into the other factors that go into the cost of ownership. Also are you in an area that has inclimate weather? If you can expect snow on the ground the Honda would be the clear choice. Also less miles for less $.
