I have been told that the Drive Belt of my Honda Odyssey needs to be replaced (A rat has chewed a little bit of it. Can I buy the belt and install it on my own? Q: How do I update my Honda Odyssey Navigation?
I have a pre-owned 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring van and recently purchased the latest upgrade DVD...but the instructions don't say where the DVD for the Navigation is in the van. I can't find anything other than the Rear Entertainment System...but that doesn't appear to be related. Does anybody know where to load the DVD from?

A: the DVD unit is located under the front driver's seat. there is a pull-down cover that opens to access the dvd player. you can then use the eject button to remove the dvd and insert the new one much as you would with any dvd player hope that helps

Q: How can you temporarily stop a digital odometer on '07 Honda Odyssey?
I have a leased 2007 Honda Odyssey that has two more years on lease and I am already over the mileage. Is there anyway to temporarily stop the odometer so i don't pay outrageous over mileage fees? I put 36,000 miles in one year which was my total allowed mileage for a 3 year lease. Can I just stop it temporarily??

A: park it or wreck it

I have to note that i know close to nothing about car audio n my budget is limited Thanks!

A: Then go to a professional place like Best Buy.

Q: What is the lowest price I can pay for a Honda Odyssey EX-L?
We are shopping for a new car and want a Honda Odyssey EX-L. We are wanting one without a DVD or Navigation system, but are not sure we can find one. Anyway, we are not sure which prices would be what we should expect as rock bottom.

A: free. get the five finger discount!

Q: What is the minimum oil life percentage for a Honda Odyssey?
What would be the minimum oil life percentage for a Honda Odyssey 2005 until we need to change the oil? I would like to know the minimum PERCENTAGE...thank you =]

A: Honda says get it changed when it's 15-20%, but we waited last time until it was at 5% (I wouldn't go less than 5%). Don't change it based on mileage, your van will tell you when you need one. My first oil change was at 5,600 miles, but I've seen an Odyssey that didn't need an oil change until 8,200miles!

Q: How many miles should I expect with a 2001 Honda Odyssey?
Thinking of buying a 2001 Honda Odyssey mini-van with 68,000 miles. I am tired of American cars that spontaneously combust or have a financially fulfilling relationship with my mechanic. I just want to know what kind of mileage one can reasonably expect. Would appreciate thoughts on how much one might pay for this used car as well.

A: I wouldn't pay a nickle for a piece of s'hit minivan. But I agree with you about American cars being worthless these days. At that mileage, as long as it's been maintained, (which means new timing belt at 65K or no deal) you should probably pay 1/2 of the original price for a 6 year old car (assume that it first sold in fall of 2000). Update: DO NOT listen to Randyrich about looking on Ebay. Go to www.kbb.com for fair pricing.

Q: Where can I get a navigation system that will fit my 07 honda odyssey?
I bought a 07 Honda Odyssey w/o navigation and I would like to install one indash, I am trying to find where I could buy one but it seems that I can't find one, so I thought of buying an after market but I don't think they will fit being the factory radio looks so weired.

A: I garentee that you can get one that fits, you should take it to a auto sound shop and ask what kind of custom mounting kits they make for your car. Check out www.scosche.com and search for it, they have to have it

Q: How can I get a cheap Honda Odyssey?
Other than Carmax or Ebay, what's the best way to get a great price on a new or used Honda Odyssey? Thanks.

A: Try looking in your local classifieds, sometimes individuals will sell cars for reasonable prices. No guarantees but that is my suggestion.

Q: Is it possibble to fit 9 people in a Honda Odyssey?
My parents are taking 7 kids on a long car trip. They need to fit both of them and the 7 kids in the car and their only options are a Honda Odyssey and a Suburban. I know the Suburban won't work, but I have never seen the inside of an Odyssey

A: No, not safely. The newer Odyssey's fit either 7 or 8 people, depending on the trim level. I wouldn't suggest it because there's not enough seat belts for all of you, and it's very tight with 8 people. You might have to take two vehicles or maybe you can rent a big van that fits 11 or more. Good luck.
