Q: where is the speed sensor (vss) located on a 1997 honda odyssey?


A: mounted in the output shaft housing on the transmission. should be a small black sensor with three wires connected to it. i can not be any more specific unless you tell me the engine size. a 4 cylinder the sensor will be on the passenger side and a v6 on the driver side.

A: The speedometer on a odyssey is electronic. The check engine light is on for a code relating to the VSS. The Vehicle Speed Sensor. This tells the computer how fast the car is going and sends the info to the speedometer. Take it to a mechanic and have it replaced. Or if you are handy get the part from an auto parts store and replace it your self.

I’ve just bought a 1997 Honda Odyssey 7 seater at a car auction but don’t have an English log book can anyone tell me what the correct tyre pressure should be for ront and rear wheels?

A: I agree with cricketindian, or you could ring your local Honda Dealer, they should have the data; it might be affected by load. Whatever it is, it is NOT what's embossed on the tyre sidewall, that's just a maximum tested pressure for that casing and nothing to do with the fitment on your vehicle.

A: You can put whatever fits but i doubt that it is the same as a accord.
