Q: Where is the OBD1 plug on my 1994 Honda Passport?
I have the OBD1 system and not the OBD2. My Haynes book says its under the dash but I cant find it. I do have a check engine light that comes on but dose not stay on for engine off troubleshooting.
A: ok like im not telling you to go tear your car up lol but it should up underneath the carpet on the passenger side right underneath the bottom of the dash either that or its mounted behind the glovebox sorry i cant be more specific but i hope that helps....
Q: 1994 honda passport shakes o the passenger side whil driving at normal speeds?
i was told that the vehicle needs a catalytic converter and exhaust system, but it rides like the tire on the passenger side is hitting small bumps in the road when it's not the tire pressure is fine whats vccausing this secondly it makes a rattling noise which seems to be coming from the rear somewhere what could be causing this and what does a catalytic converter do...finally where is it located on the vehicle
A: busted control arm bushing.
Q: I HAVE A 1994 HONDA PASSPORT. tHE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH FAILED AND I HAVE NO HEADLIGHTS. hOW DO I RUN A TOGGEL?
ALL RUNNING LIGHTS WORK. HIGH BEAMS WORK IF SWITCH PULLED BACK AND HELD. PLEASE HELP.
A: The switch controls several items, so you'll need a copy of the wiring diagram which is in the service manual. If you insist on using toggle switches, you're going to have to get several of them. After you've tied the correct wires together, you're going to have to learn the sequence of which toggle switches get turned on in what order.
My suggestion - get a new multifunction switch.
Q: where is the oil filter located on a 1994 Honda Passport four wheel drive?
A: back of the engine in a very user friendly spot lol if mememory serves me correctly
Q: Where is the ODB on my 1994 Honda Passport 3.2l V6?
I have only one O2 sensor, the book and everyone says there 2 r more. I know its the ODB 1 and not ODB2.
A: You should only have one on the 1994. Its located under the vehicle in front of the catalytic convertor. It will be in the exhaust pipe (above a heat shield) where the two exhaust header pipes join into one. the junction of the two pipes will look like a "Y". the O2 sensor is in the single pipe and will be on top when you look at the pipe from under the vehicle. You will probably have to remvoe the tin heat shield to get to it.
the 1994 model only had one sensor as it did not monitor for catalyst efficiency as the OBD II vehicles do. That catalyst monitoring started in 1996.
hope that answers your qustion
Q: Where is the Fuel pump on a 1994 honda passport??
A: Try looking for it in the manual.
Q: 1994 Honda Passport sun roof?
Does anyone know where I can buy the shad for the pop-up sunroof on my honda passport?
A: If you can't buy it from Honda, try Isuzu since th Passport isn't a real Honda. It's a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo. Besides, Honda's not very good when it comes to parts support on a vehicle after 10 years of age.Either that or junkyard.
Q: can you reset the fuel pump on a 1994 honda passport?
A: You don't you replace the pump if its bad. If the Passport runs, check the pressure, IFit doesn't the check the pump relay. located on the fron fender/firewall under the hood. Unless the you mean the cut off swich, inwhich is I think front passenger side kick plate .Maybe.
Q: Why dose my 1994 3.2l Honda Passport motor rattle so loud?
I dont know why the motor on my passport rattles so loud, kinda sounds like a deseil truck. I thought Honda motors would be slient or close. Can you help?
A: Because it is NOT a Honda - it was rebadged from Isuzu. Sounds like you have some clogged oil passages and the oil is not getting to the valves. Run some motor flush (seafoam) before next oil change.
Q: tramission will not shift automaticly 1994 honda passport?
A: Go get the oil and filter in the transmission changed. and a "flush" would help. and yes there is oil and a filter in the tranny. Im not putting you on. Also in a car that old it could be more complicated problems, bands could be loose, clutches going bad, maybe even bad vacum advance off the engine. good luck
Q: 1994 Honda Passport, idler pulley went and threw timing off. Has interference engine, valves bent? Cost 2 fix??
Is it worth it to fix this engine? Also, when it is supposed to shift up, it hesitates and jerks forward. Why?
A: Before I trashed the vehicle, I'd try just replacing the timing belt. I'm a mechanic and I own one of these. The trany is another problem you'll have to deal with sererately.
Q: Are 1994-1999 Honda Passports as reliable as 1994-1999 Honda CRVs?
I know CRVs get better gas mileage but I need more leg room. What is the scoop on Passports? Are they reliable or does CRV hold the medal on that one.
A: The CR-V and Passport are not in the same league. The Passport/Rodeo is junk in comparison.
Q: Would you recommend a trunk mounted disc changer for my car?
i have a 1994 honda passport and im getting a new stereo. Would you recommend a 6-10 disc changer over a normal in dash stereo?
A: A normal in-dash with an AUX input for an MP3 player.
I have a 30Gb MP3 player as my source and it comes in the house with me so it can't be stolen.
Q: How to find out Auto recall info?
I found out that there have been a few recalls on my 1994 Honda Passport LX. How do I find out if a Honda dealer has already fixed the problems???
A: go to the dealer and have them check the car/truck over. you can check the makers webpage for recall info.
Q: Honda Passport High Oil Pressure problem?
I've asked this problem before on the site, and its never been a huge problem until now, because well it always just wound up going away by it's self, but now to be quite frank I'm out of ideas.
I've tried flushing the motor and changing the oil 3 times in a row, added Lucas oil treatment, getting a new oil pressure sending unit, and even gone so far as to replacing the PVC valve. but my Motor Oil pressure gauge just won't tell me that I'm in the clear for my oil's pressure. (I've tested the gauge which is fine) but driving around with 110 just isn't good.
What else could I possibly do?!
The motor is a 6vd1 on a 1994 EX
A: if the gauge is correct, you could have a stuck pressure relief valve on the oil pump. you say you've tested the gauge, does that mean you have hooked up a oil pressure test gauge to your engine?
